Dogwerks Training is the Win-Win Way helping you create deep Connection, Communication, and Control with your Canine Partner!

Hi! My name is Marielle. It's my goal to teach you the foundation of Dog communication and how to teach the basic obedience commands from the position of a Trusted, Respected, and Adored Leader.

The Dogwerks Way is a unique approach to dog training in which the Human learns to "Speak Dog" to communicate more clearly with their canine partner. This straightforward, effective approach leads to a deepening of the dog-human bond and many Win-Win rewards. I am excited you are here!

"Dogwerks is incredible. The teaching style felt perfect for us. My 1 year old German Shepard/Malinois responded so well to everything we worked on. For me, this was more than just a dog training class. I learned about how my dog thinks, what gives her anxiety, and how to help her work through those things. Marielle has provided us with tools and training exercises to help build confidence and trust in each other. With practice and patience, we continue our adventures together. She has helped us work towards the next level in our relationship and we are so very grateful."

Equipment & Commands

There are a lot of tools available to help you train your dog. Marielle shares what equipment you will need, how to use them properly to avoid hurting your dog or hindering training.

Hi, Meet Marielle!

Marielle started DogWerks training kennel in Rock Creek, Montana, in 1992, after years of training and competing with Rottweilers, and obedience competitions.

Throughout her career with dogs Marielle has trained in a wide variety of disciplines from obedience and protection training, to tracking, search and rescue, and police work.

Marielle has also trained dogs for duck hunting and weight falling. She has had some wonderful opportunities working for the US Geological Survey training dog handler teams for brown tree snake detection in Guam and the opportunity to work with local people in Bangladesh, training street dogs in tiger detection and deterrence.

Marielle's approach to training is to understand and respect who dogs are and to use that knowledge to communicate clearly with them. She sticks to solid guiding principles in her training, while remaining responsive to the individual needs of each dog.

Marielle strives to maximize the potential of each dog while helping them to become confident, responsive partners.
